could anyone explain what does Netflix’s Sand Castle ending really mean? I am quite confused after watching the movie.
How Did that lighthouse turned into a boat?
the sand castle’s ending was the definition of “I got it but I didn’t like it.”

Not really a big fan of the film but i see what it tries to do. To me it reads like the child has been trying to undertake a migration after her life is threatened by the war-hostile environment of her country. She is in a daze and imagines the world of the lighthouse and the sand castle, when in actual fact she has been on the lifeboat all along. And everything that finds a place in that world of lighthouse has happened to her before-- the parents’ desperate cries for help, the constant radio communication, the red shoe which points to her sister’s death.
